Ymagynacioun is een ensemble voor laat middeleeuwse muziek, opgericht door Michael Dollendorf. De naam van het ensemble is ontleend aan het Book of the Duchess van Chaucer.

Michael Dollendorf heeft als leraar gewerkt aan de Universität der Künste (UdK) in Berlijn, en hij heeft leeropdrachten vervuld op andere terreinen van het onderwijs. Hij is onderzoeker op het gebied van gesproken poëzie. Hij streeft naar het tot leven wekken van mondelinge tradities, met behulp van schriftelijke bronnen en geeft ook zelf begeleide uitvoeringen van middeleeuwse en renaissance muziek.
