Some month ago Clemens Goldberg published his new edition of the Glogauer Liederbuch. This inspired me to have a new in depth look at this fascinating collection of late 15th century music. Written in three part books, Discantus, Tenor, Countertenor, it contains religious and secular music. In early editions 'for practical use' emphasis was put on light entertainment , the secular music with funny German titles.
For our weekend well look at the religious pieces too. All singers and soft instruments are welcome. We privide recorders and flutes at high pitch.
Please go to the website of Goldberg-Stiftung to find the music and download it. About a month before once we see the registrations and know which voices and instruments we can work with we send you the numbers of the pieces that should be prepared.
