Die 'Psalmi Davidis poenitentiales ' von Lasso aus dem Jahre 1584 sind ein Höhepunkt der Kirchenmusik. Die zugrundeliegende Dichtung, die Bußpsalmen, wurden von den wichtigsten Dichtern übersetzt und die größten Komponisten haben sie in Musik gesetzt.

    Psalm 6 – Domine ne in furore tuo (Pro octava)
    Psalm 32 – Beati quorum remissae sunt iniquitates
    Psalm 38 – Domine ne in furore tuo (In rememorationem de sabbato)
    Psalm 51 – Miserere mei Deus
    Psalm 102 – Domine exaudi orationem meam et clamor meus ad te veniat
    Psalm 130 – De profundis clamavi
    Psalm 143 – Domine exaudi orationem meam auribus percipe obsecrationem meam
    Psalm 148 - Laudate Dominum

Lassos Hofkapelle in München war nicht nur für ihre Qualität bekannt, sondern auch für ihre Größe - eine große Anzahl von Sängern und Instrumentalisten musizierten zusammen. Das bekannte Bild von Hans Mielich vermittelt uns einen guten Eindruck davon.

Auch wenn in der Karwoche die Instrumente normalerweise schwiegen, möchten wir in diesem Projekt die Münchener Aufführungstradition mit gemischter Besetzung aufleben lassen. Die Musik ist so wunderbar, dass möglichst viele daran teilhaben sollen.

Dieser Workshop steht allen Sängern und Instrumentalisten offen in der Hoffnung dem Münchener Klang ganz nahe zu kommen. Dieses Mal stehen die Psalmen 6, 51 und 143 auf dem Programm.
