Jean-Baptiste Lully & André Danican Philidor

Zeremonial- und Orchester-Musik vom französischen Hof, komponiert und gesammelt von Jean-Baptiste Lully (1632-1687) und André Danican Philidor (1647-1730). Spieler von allen Streich- und Holzblasinstrumenten sind willkommen.

Wochenend Workshop mit Frédérique Brillouin und Michael Dollendorf

Lullys Orchester bestand aus allen möglichen Violinen, Violen, Gamben, Bässen, Blockflöten, Traversflöten, Oboen und Fagotten aber auch Lauten, Theorben und Gitarren. Die Musiker spielten zur Unterhaltung des Publikums im Palast, in den Gärten und in der Oper. Wir haben eine große Anzahl von Werken ausgewählt, darunter die berühmte 'Chaconne' und den 'Marche pour la Cérémonie des Turcs' aus 'Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme', die 'Passacaille' und die 'Sarabande' aus 'Armide' und die unverwüstlichen 'Les folies d'Espagne'.

Parallel zu diesem Kurs wird Lukas Henning einen Kurs für Laute, Theorbe und Barock-Gitarre unterrichten. Am Nachmittag kommen beide Gruppen zusammen um im großen Ensemble zu musizieren.

Wir arbeiten auf der modernen neo-barocken Stimmtonhöhe von 415 Hz, da die meisten Spieler Instrumente auf dieser Tonhöhe haben, auch wenn es einen großen Unterschied zu den französischen Standarts gibt. In Versailles lag der Kammerton bei etwa 400 Hz und der Stimmton in der Oper unter 390 Hz. Diese Verhältnisse werden wir bei unserer Sommerschule 2020 berücksichtigen, bei der sich alles um französische Musik drehen wird.
